LED Ballast Socket and Plug
These units have been designed for use on vehicles where the trailers may use LED lights. It has built-in ballast resistors to eliminate the bulb failure warning becoming active on the towing vehicle.
There are two versions:
A hard-wired version which can be fitted to the trailer at the front and the trailer wiring taken from there or our universal unit which simply plugs into the normal towing socket on the tractor, and the LED trailer is connected into the rear socket.
This unit is versatile as it can be moved from one towing vehicle to another. Built-in thermistor to stop excessive overheating. The unit shuts down to prevent damage. Unit recovers when it cools down.
AVLED01S – LED Ballast Socket 12V
The LED ballast socket is designed to eliminate the bulb failure warning becoming activated on tractors which are towing trailers with LED lights.
It mimics the load of normal lights and compensates for the low power consumption of LED lights. It will therefore give the driver/operator confidence that should the bulb failure warning light come
on in the cab it will NOT be a false alarm.
The unit can be fitted to the vehicle in the normal manner as well as the normal socket so the normal socket can be used for bulb lights and the LED Ballast Socket for LED lights, so the tractor can utilise any type of trailer.
• Comes complete with 1 metre of 7 core cable

AVLED01P – LED Ballast Socket and Plug 12V
This unit is designed for multi-vehicle use where it can be plugged into the tractor towing socket and then the LED trailer is plugged into it.
