Seatbelt Monitoring Systems are becoming widely used, especially for construction equipment where there is no cab on the vehicle and the driver/operator can fall off, resulting in serious injury or even death.

The idea is that health and safety officers/inspectors can see if a seatbelt is being worn as the green beacon will flash. These devices are for off highway applications in the main as the green beacon is used on highway by doctors.

Our Greeneyes beacon is very low profile, single bolt fix with the power cable coming through the mounting bolt for ease of fitting. It used the same Cree XPE LEDs as used in our Alarmalight® ranges and the unit is completely sealed by sonic welding.

The electronics and LED lights are encapsulated with epoxy resin. The void of the unit is filled with expanding foam to reduce weight and finally sealed with epoxy and a cap.

This makes the Greeneyes probably the most robust beacon of its kind.

SEATBELT MONITORING SYSTEM

This system is designed to fit vehicles where an existing seatbelt is fitted but it is not electrical, i.e. delivery vans where changing the seatbelt is not an option.

By using a simple reed switch and magnet, we can effectively make the unit electrical as it will know when the seatbelt is fastened.

This is then connected to our warning light and buzzer which is designed for in cab use, thereby providing a credible and visual warning to fasten the seatbelt.

There is no drilling involved which could invalidate vehicle warranty and weaken the seatbelt.

This handy device is designed to be fitted to non electrical seatbelt systems so that seatbelt warnings can be fitted.

Basically it consists of a reed switch which is encapsulated into one housing. This is fitted to the fixed buckle by the vehicle seat.

The actuating magnet is fitted into the other housing and this is fitted to the belt buckle.

When the seatbelt is fastened the reed switch knows the magnet is there and switches on or off the warning.

It can also be used for any application where switching is an issue.

RED LED BUZZER

This highly visible and audible alarm is designed to convince even the most stubborn operator to buckle up.

Designed for universal use where urgent action needs to be taken by the driver/operator.

The unit should be mounted in plain view and be inside the cab. The use of the RED LED is to highlight that it is an important and urgent warning and needs urgent action.
